The first semester of 2026 was a busy period for the Audio-Visual Services (AVS) team at the University of the Western Cape. From the very first week of the academic year, the team played an instrumental role during student orientation; and hosting of international visitors. AVS supported several institutional events, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that every presentation, live stream, and ceremony was delivered with the highest level of professionalism. Every successful event is a testament to the commitment, expertise, and teamwork of the CIECT / AVS team.

During Semester 1, AVS deployed a wide range of professional audio-visual technologies to meet the diverse needs of the university community, including:
- Professional Sound Systems: For clear audio in large venues like the Jakes Gerwel Hall.
- Large Venue Projection Systems & LED Display Technology: For high-impact visuals.
- PTZ and Broadcast Cameras: For professional multi-camera production and live streaming.
- Hybrid Conferencing Platforms & Live Streaming Solutions: Enabling seamless participation for remote and international guests.
- Digital Recording Systems: For content capture and archiving.
- Wireless Microphone Systems: Essential for presenters and production crews.
- Stage Lighting & Digital Presentation Systems: To enhance the atmosphere and deliver engaging presentations.
- Video Switching and Production Equipment: For managing complex, multi-source productions.
These technologies ensured that every event, whether in-person or hybrid was delivered to the highest professional standard.
