BigBlueButton (BBB) – Not Zero Rated: Students should use OpenVPN to connect

The CIECT Team has been informed that the web conferencing tool BigBlueButton (BBB), will no longer be zero-rated (according to the ICS Department informed by TENET).
BigBlueButton (BBB) supports real-time sharing of audio, video, slides, chat, and screens. BBB is similar to ZOOM and Google Hangouts as they fall under the category of Video Web conferencing tools.
The BBB is an external eTool integrated within the institutional Learning Management System, iKamva and has been named Meetings.
Connect to BBB via VPN
It is highly recommended by the ICS Department that students should make use of OpenVPN. The students should visit the following site https://iamuwc.uwc.ac.za/
