The CIECT (AVS) team is offering training to lecturers on how to facilitate Hybrid Teaching using Visualisers in the classroom/teaching venues.
Hybrid Teaching combines face-to-face and online teaching into one cohesive experience. A percentage of the class sessions are on-campus, while the other students tune in / work online.
On completion of this training session, participants should be able to:
- Integrate a Document Camera / Visualizer with Google meet or Zoom platforms to stream a lesson to students in remote locations.
- Use the Document Camera / Visualizer to project objects.
- Use the Document Camera / Visualizer software to annotate during live video sessions.

Update: Transforming Classrooms into Hybrid Teaching Spaces
The CIECT Team (AVS) has installed 296 Document Cameras/Visualizers in venues across the University of the Western Cape (lecture halls and some prefab classrooms).
These venues are located in:
- New Life Sciences building
- Arts Faculty (A, B, C Blocks)
- School of Government
- School of Public Health
- Old Physiotherapy
- Nature Reserve
- Sports Stadium
- Prefabs
- SC venues
- DL venues
- Dentistry Tygerberg
- Dentistry Mitchels Plain
