iKamva Orientation for First Year Students

The CIECT team conducted iKamva orientation for the first-year students, utilising a blended approach (both face-to-face and via Google Meet/online).


Between the 1st and 21st February 2023, students from EMS (SOG), CHS (Nursing), Law (Labour Law), Arts (Sociology) and Natural Science faculties attended sessions where they engaged with CIECT team members in their respective classes/groups.


The CIECT team demonstrated the following:

  • Logging in and navigating the online environment
  • Accessing course resources and lesson content
  • Engaging with communication tools such as, chat rooms and discussion topics
  • Submitting assignments
  • Completing online tests and quizzes


During the orientation sessions, students were encouraged to subscribe to CIECT’s YouTube Channel which hosts iKamva instructional help resources as well as, other how-to videos.
