Econometrics (ECO242), coordinated by Mabunga Mpundu and instructed by Faeez  Nackerdien,  is an introductory course that applies statistical methods to analyse economic data. The module, delivered through blended learning, provides students with a foundational understanding of Econometrics and prepares them for advanced studies in the discipline in the faculty of EMS. 

Blended Mode of Provision: Flipped Classroom
Teaching is primarily delivered through lectures, with content based on the prescribed textbook outlined in the course guide and available on the iKamva module site. Students are encouraged to review the textbook and lecture notes on iKamva before attending lectures.

Structured Weekly Lessons, Exercises and Solutions
Each weekly lesson provides an overview of the week's content. Embedded within these lessons are PowerPoint and video presentations, weekly exercises and their corresponding solutions. 

Assessments: Formative and Summative Assessments
ECO 242 includes both a Continuous Assessment Mark (CAM) component and a final examination. The continuous assessment comprises five tutorial assessments, two module tests and one assignment.

Final Assessment: Sit Down Examination 
Students are provided with a scope to assist them in preparing for the final exams. Examinations for ECO 242 are strictly Sit down.
